Funny Apartment Stories - Insurance - Rental

Apartment dwellers usually have a thing or two to say about their previous apartments, landlords, neighbors, and much more. Sometimes they may even have some hilarious stories to tell, because when you live in a big building with several other people nearby, there are bound to be some crazy and strange things that happen. These stories tend to focus on landlord mistakes, because for some reason, those are funnier.One woman moved into an upscale apartment with her sister. The apartment looked beautiful, nothing out of place, so they both felt comfortable moving into this nice complex. Some months later, though, the truth began to come out slowly. The first thing was the ceiling fan blade, which had been repaired with duct tape on the top. Apparently, this was not the only thing repaired with magic duct tape. The girls discovered over the course of 2 years that just about everything had been repaired with the silver stuff. Everything from kitchen cabinets to windowsills was patched up with duct tape. It is true that some men claim anything can be fixed with duct tape, but to be honest, they would probably not take it as far as this landlord did!That last landlord may have been cunningly repairing things with nothing but duct tape, but he was not as sneaky as the next one. There was a guy who rented an apartment and realized the dishwasher did not work. He put in a work order for the dishwasher and used the sink until they fixed it. Since he had never had a dishwasher, he did not miss it much, but he did try calling again for the fix about 6 months later. His landlord was so sneaky that he came to fix it the day the renter had asked him to, but never mentioned it.One apartment dweller may or may not be aware of this story, but their landlord is telling it like this. He was trying to fix a strange drip in the apartment bathtub. Unfortunately, all the apartments in the complex were slightly different in the way you have to shut off the water. For this particular one, he was only able to shut off the water halfway. Since this landlord is a self-proclaimed rookie plumber, he made the mistake of attempting to fix the drip anyway, even though the water was not turned off completely. He ended up removing a valve that caused water to spray out continuously. However, it was a good thing he was able to shut off the water halfway, because otherwise he would have been pelted by scorching hot and ice cold water at the same time! In the end, he did figure out how to get the valve back on (after puncturing his hand 16 times!), and also learned how to shut off the water completely.
